County considers raising property tax 15 percent

Palm Beach County's property tax rate is expected to rise almost 15 percent next year, after falling three times since 2005.County Administrator Bob Weisman presented the tax increase plan along with proposed budget cuts to the County Commission on Monday in advance of crafting a $1 billion operating budget.

    If you believe your Municipal Taxes are too high you may want to appeal. A ‘Request for Reconsideration’ must be made by March 31st of 2012. For more information go to - MPAC.ca Remember it is the obligation of the Assessment Office in your area to prove your assessment is fair.
