Property-tax plunge creates budget woes in Miami-Dade, Broward

The final property-tax assessments were even worse in some areas than initially thought, setting the stage for budget battles across South Florida. The most severe drop in taxable property value in Miami-Dade County in at least 40 years is actually a little worse than first thought.
